Eric Chi Zhang has served as our director since June 2021. Mr. Zhang is Chairman of General Atlantic’s business in China. Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Zhang was a Global Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where he focused on investment opportunities in Asia from 2006 to 2016 and he also served as a board member for both the general partner and the management company of Carlyle Beijing Partners Fund. Before joining Carlyle in 2006, Mr. Zhang was a Vice President of M&A at Credit Suisse, based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Prior to that, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division at China International Capital Corporation Limited in Beijing. Mr. Zhang received an M.A. in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
